Terrain: roads and serious off-road
Today was a day of adventures.
Started out pretty well making faster progress than I’ve made in a while so was feeling pretty chuffed with myself.
The scenery for all of today was simply stunning. Vast planes between mountains then rolling green hills followed by more sandy looking formations. At some points, it just took my breath away.
Even came across these ladies on my way, working hard!
The trouble though with this type of beauty is that it means ups and downs. Having opted (unawares) for the off-road root (it started on nice roads), oh my goodness did I have a few challenges.
Imagine getting Bob and myself safely down (and up) this (about 30 times!).
Bob did tumble a couple of times, including this time, oops.
A moment of inattention, focusing my efforts on getting up the hill and oops, was in a crevice! My ankles were all over the place too!
I’m convinced there was an easier way but what’s life without challenges and adventures! Made it!
